Funeral Ceremonies with Sound Journey

I am engaged as a civil officiant, primarily for funerals, where I have the great honor of leading farewell ceremonies. In civil funerals, there are no fixed frameworks, except that the ceremony cannot take place in a church.

As an officiant, I begin the ceremony with a sound journey using my singing bowls. I use my voice to tone from my heart, aiming to reach the hearts of all participants and create a deep connection with the soul.

Leading the entire funeral ceremony and starting with healing sounds that bring people into the present moment, helping them feel and be part of something greater, is an enormous honor for me. My ceremonies are often somewhat unconventional and focus on creating a spiritual presence rather than a conventional and intellectual experience.

I narrate the life story of the deceased in a way that the family recognizes and, if needed, include appropriate music.

Experience and Support

My experience in leading groups in yoga, sound journeys, and other spiritual experiences, combined with my background in Psychosynthesis, provides a solid foundation for creating a safe atmosphere during the ceremony. These experiences enable me to help all participants feel comfortable and present.

Beyond the ceremony itself, my role also involves supporting the bereaved in planning the funeral service. By combining my knowledge and experience, I can offer a comprehensive approach that both calms and guides through this difficult time.

You are warmly welcome to contact me.

Testimonials

Titti was the perfect officiant for my father’s funeral. My father had expressed that he did not want a church funeral with hymns and a priest, so a civil ceremony was an obvious choice for us. However, we had difficulty finding an officiant who felt right until we approached Titti. With her, everything felt right and natural.

We wanted Zen Buddhist elements, and Titti suggested starting the ceremony with a sound journey – a mindfulness meditation where she used her singing bowls. It created an incredible sense of presence, and Titti helped us all to be in the moment.

It’s hard to describe the calm that settled in the room. Titti created an atmosphere of peace and warmth through her words, her voice, and the soft tones of the singing bowls. She guided us through my father’s life story in an incredibly beautiful and respectful way.
As an extra gift, Titti was able to pronounce my father’s Japanese name correctly, which meant a lot to us.

By the end of the ceremony, I felt a deep peace within me. I have a feeling that my father appreciated the way he was honored.

Afterwards, family members, friends, and colleagues – both old and young – said it was one of the most beautiful funerals they had ever attended.

Thank you, Titti, for being our officiant.

Titti Bjernér was an amazing officiant at our father’s civil funeral. She was very attentive to our wishes regarding the ceremony’s design, conveyed beautifully what we had shared about our father’s life, and incorporated very fitting music.

With her professional expertise as a yoga teacher and knowledge of Japanese philosophy, she has an incredible ability to connect with people. She expresses herself with warmth and has a fine approach to death and spirituality.

Our funeral ceremony included meditation/chanting with singing bowls, a life story accompanied by music, and a poem from the Tibetan Book of the Dead.
